Right...or...Wrong?
Maybe the question is more like this: Right, or Happy?
Every heard the question Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?
I was once at the California State Fair with my brother. We were…arguing. When I asked him that question, he replied that he would rather be right.
OK, then, I replied. I want to be happy.
Every time we disagreed like every sentence!), and he told me I was wrong, I’d reply “You’re right, and I’m happy.”
He’d respond that my answer was not satisfying to him, because I was “just saying it, and didn’t really believe he was right.”
To which I responded, “You’re right. I don’t believe it…and I’m happy.”
This interchange, or something much like it, went on for about an hour, as I remember now.
At some point, we just stopped arguing.
And, for the rest of our time at the fair, we “just got along”.
Or, at least that is how I remember it.
That’s the way I want to live…HAPPY! I remember as often as I can, that JOY IS THE FUEL, and I want my fuel tank FULL.
My J.O.B. = Joy Of Being.
